What this is
face.co is a free tool for building cartoon avatars. There is no paid version, no account and no download limit. Advertising pays for it.
The avatars are yours
Whatever you build with the generator is yours to use, including commercially: profiles, school work, blogs, client projects.
Free downloads carry a small face.co mark in the bottom-right corner and the domain in the file's metadata. Removing it is not forbidden, but leaving it is what keeps the site free.
What is not yours
The drawings that make up the avatars are licensed from a third party (svgAvatars, DeeThemes). You may use the avatars you assemble; you may not extract, redistribute or resell the artwork itself, nor the site's own code.
No warranty
The service is provided «as is» and «as available», with no warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will always work, that it will be free of errors, or that it will stay online.
This is an experiment that has been running for over a decade, but it is still an experiment.
Liability
We are not liable for indirect or incidental damage arising from using the site, including loss of a file you did not save. Since nothing is stored on our side, an avatar you do not download is lost — copy the link if you want to keep it.
Nothing here removes the rights that Spanish or European consumer law gives you and cannot be waived.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to break the law, to impersonate a real person, or to build material that harasses anyone. Do not try to overload it or scrape it automatically.
Advertising
The site shows ads from Google AdSense. We do not control which advertisers appear and we do not endorse them.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top says when they last did.
Applicable law
Spanish law applies. For any dispute, the courts of Madrid, without prejudice to the courts that consumer law may assign you.
